BCEW are seeking a new treasurer as the current office holder, Dr Amanda Large, is retiring from the role in the new year after nine years in post.

Blind Cricket England & Wales
Trustee Opportunity – Treasurer
Voluntary Position
Commitment – Approx. 5 meetings per year (mostly via Zoom & mainly evenings and weekends) plus managing the charities accounts.
Blind Cricket England & Wales manage visually impaired cricket in the UK in partnership with the England and Wales Cricket Board. The charity manages 8 competitions each summer as well as managing and developing the UK Women’s VI cricket Team.
Role Requirements
- Attend meetings via Zoom.
- Making payments via online banking, the charity make approx. 300 payments per year.
- Recording all payments made & payments received on a spreadsheet
- Sending approx. 50 invoices per year.
- Working with the Business Director to ensure all moneys owed to the charity are received & all owed by the charity are paid.
- Working with the Business Director to prepare the charities accounts ready for the appointed accountant to examine them annually.
- Ensuring that the charities money is well managed & practices are in line with charity law.

The successful candidate may be required to submit to a DBS check

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside the current treasurer for a month or so before fully taking over the role, we hope this will provide for a smooth handover.
