In 39 years as a Physical Education teacher at New College Worcester Clive introduced multiple generations of pupils to VI cricket. More than a dozen of Clive’s former pupils have gone on to play for the England Men’s VI Cricket team & far more are still playing the domestic game nearly two decades after Clive retired from teaching. A number of fellow hall of fame members also credit Clive with starting their progress in the sport.
Clive was very popular with his students & went out of his way to help by regularly giving up his own time to drive the school team to matches or to umpire or score.
Clive has umpired several hundred VI cricket matches & has continued to score games up to the present time.
In 2012 Clive was selected to take part in the London 2012 Paralympic Torch relay & has been involved in managing teams and organising tournaments across a number of sports, including international Goalball.
Clive also had a five year spell as a trustee of British Blind Sport.
