Mark played for the England Blind Cricket Team for almost a decade in the 2000;s. A B2 partially sighted player he usually batted in the lower middle order & was a reliable fielder.
Mark won 23 England caps & was part of the victorious England team in the first ever Blind Cricket Ashes series. He scored 336 international runs including two fifties as well as taking 3 catches, he also bowled 2 wicketless overs.
Mark’s highest international score was 71 not out made against Australia in the 2004 Ashes series. He also played a very significant innings at Worcestershire’s New Road County Ground on 31st May 2006, four quick wickets had England wobbling as they tried to claim a very rare win over Pakistan. The score was 279/5 & England needed 333 to win, Mark played the calming innings England needed & his 21 not out saw the side to a famous victory.

Domestically Mark played in the 2001 Primary Club Cup Final for Lancashire Galloways, he played for other Northern teams too before joining Warwickshire Bears for whom he played his part in winning the BCEW National League title as well as the first ever edition of the BCEW Twenty20 Cup.
