England VI Team To Hold Open Trial

In just under three weeks time the England Men’s VI Cricket Team will be holding an open trial at Edgbaston in Birmingham.

This will take place on Saturday 22nd October from 10AM to 4PM & Sunday 23rd October from 10AM to 2PM.

Players in any sight category may attend on one of the two days, you can choose which, and travel expenses will be paid.

Attendance is by arrangement, you can’t just turn up on the day.

Anyone who wishes to attend needs to email Dave Gavrilovic ([email protected]) with the following information:

Those wishing to take part must respond by at latest Wednesday 19th October, although preferably sooner.

Here’s a note from England management about why this is a great opportunity for those interested in representing their country:

“As you may know, we have a winter of training camps ahead and as we look to build towards the 2023 World Blind Games, we would like to offer all players the opportunity to attend an open trial during our October camp.

“We would be looking for players to attend on either Saturday October 22nd or Sunday October 23rd so they can be assessed by our coaches. Once we understand how many players are due to attend, we can work out a timing schedule so that all players have an equal opportunity to display their skills both individually and as part of the wider group. This is a trial and we cannot offer any guarantees around selection for England squads but if a player impresses, there is potential for them to step into the wider squad.”
