UK Women Name World Cup Squad Whilst Fundraising Efforts Continue

The UK Women’s VI Cricket Team have named a 15 player squad for the first ever Blind Cricket Women’s Twenty20 World Cup, which the squad hope to attend in November.

The tournament, being hosted by India and Nepal, will also feature teams from Australia, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka & USA.

On announcing the squad UK Women’s VI Cricket Team Manager John Garbett said:
“There were some tough decisions for the selection panel. We have selected 15 players and the rest of the training squad will be on stand by as reserves.”

The cost of taking part in the world cup is around £60,000 and a very generous donor has been found to fund half of this. Can you help raise the other half to ensure the UK are part of this historic event? If so donations can be made at:
