Profile

Somerset VICC was formed in 2010 with support from Somerset Sight and Somerset CCC. The aim was to provide cricket opportunities for blind and partially sighted people from Somerset and the wider South West.

Since then the club has grown steadily and, after two successful seasons, being crowned Champions of the BCEW South and West Development League and a third-place finish at their first attempt of the BCEW BJMT Development Festival, the side felt ready to move up to National level cricket.

In 2014 Somerset debuted in the National League finishing in a creditable fifth place as well as finishing as runners-up in the BBS Cup and claiming their first National level trophy as BCEW Twenty20 Cup winners.
