Northants Steelbacks have been handed a difficult route if they are to defend the Primary Club Cup trophy that they won in 2024.
Whilst the Steelbacks will be quietly confident of getting past Yorkshire in the quarter finals a challenging tie away to Somerset or Metro awaits them in the semi finals. That Somerset v Metro game is perhaps the tie of the quarter finals as it’s a repeat of the still to be played 2024 Twenty20 Cup Final.
Sussex Sharks are the only National League Division One side in the top half of the draw, they host Surrey in the quarter finals before a trip to either Kent or Lancashire.
In the quarter finals of the Twenty20 Cup the Division One sides have been kept apart, Metro travel to Dorset and Sussex are away to Yorkshire in the two games we know for certain. Northants face Cheshire in the first round with the winner to host Lancashire in the QF’s. Somerset host Surrey in the first round with the winner drawn at home against Kent in the quarter finals.
The new Midland and North Development Twenty20 Cup saw Staffordshire and Bradford receive byes into their region’s finals. Lancashire host Greater Manchester in the Northern semi final whilst at the same stage in the Midlands it’s Birmingham at home against Gloucestershire.
